Man, I'm so tired from practice. Tuesday is conditioning day. And I haven't "conditioned" in forever.

All I gotta say is that it is GREAT to have a bunch of dedicated students to practice with. I love going to practice, and I hope the feeling never ends.

Ok, enough wushu talk. Besides, I post my wushu training stuff on my Xanga. Well, in other news... hmm, there's not much to talk about besides wushu haha.

Why is it still so cold in May? I hate waking up when it's cold. It's nearly impossible. Anyone know of good cheap places to eat in Chinatown? Recommend me something. Speaking of eating, I should really try to get back on a healthier diet, but that's tough when your living with your aunt and grandma, who always say that I'm too skinny. I haven't weighed myself in over 6 months, but I'm guessing I weigh about 150lbs by now. Who can resist a good BBQ Pork Bun??? No one.

Well, now that I have internet access... I will be online a lot more!

It's like it's 2AM and I'm still up. I haven't been up at 2AM for over 4 months I think. Wow. The internet is really corrupting, yet sooo good.

I'm just trying to get this new computer to behave like my old computer. Is that bad? Like I'm redownloading all the programs I used to use and placing their icon exactly where I had them on the old computer. And I turned off the XP appearances so that I can get this computer to resemble as much as possible the Windows 95/98 appearance. I'm so outdated.

Today is 05-05-05! Neat! Well, it's actually Friday now, so you'll probably see the date above as the 6th. Either way.

I found myself humming the Wong Fei Hung tune at work today. That's because Sifu plays this CD during practices and it just sinks into subconciously.

Practice tonight was pretty good. I'll be REALLY sore tomorrow since I haven't even gotten over the soreness from last Tuesday. I guess this is how it's going to be, until my body adjusts from its domaint state over the last 5 months.

I feel inspired by the students at practice. I should give it my all at practice and practice like it was the last practice in my life. That's the way it should be... that's the only way.

Sifu Chen Ying's school sign in Chinatown
Wednesday, May 4, 2005    8:44 PM
I'm so sore! :) I had my first practice yesterday at Sifu Chen Ying's school. It was very fun!

But I'll try to keep most of the wushu training entries on my Xanga instead.

Besides that, my USB Wireless Adapter, still has not arrived! It's been a week since I've ordered it. Oh well, when it gets here, I'll finally be using my new computer more. It's been just sitting there for over a week. Such a waste!

BTW, Bubble Tea isn't the same as Milk Tea. "Lai Cha" is served hot and bubble tea is served cold! Either way, they both taste good. But since it's STILL pretty cold here in New York, I'd like a Milk Tea please! :)

*This entry copied from my Xanga*

Let it begin. Went to check out the Sifu Chen Ying school tonight in Chinatown. The quality of their students are quite high!!!

I saw more butterfly-twists (in person) tonight than I ever have my whole life! Wow! The students seem pretty friendly. I hope I'll fit in and be able to experience the "kung fu family" environment.

Today, I met the Y Chan and Dan Liu... whom I only know of from WhoWushu, and the internet. Y Chan's wushu is awesome! Sifu Chen seems quite skilled, both in kung fu and in teaching. I think he's nice person and is "enthusiastic" about wushu, as Jason R said. A couple other people look pretty familiar. I might have seen them either in videos or at tournament.

Even though they require 3-month payment up front, I'm itching to get back into shape and to get back into training... so I'm sold. I'll start my real training tomorrow. This will be the first martial arts school I join. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. More nervous because I haven't really practiced in over 5 months, and I hope I can keep up. ::sigh::

Added the Comments section. So feel free to leave me responses.

Went to the park to exercise this morning. It was a good exercise session. Need more endurance and flexibility and leg strength. If all goes as plans, I will be join the Sifu Chen Ying wushu school next week. And thus, my training resumes!

My instructor Trent says he's going to get back into training next week too. So we'll try to post our 'kung fu journals' to keep up with our progress. I'll be posting my training on Xanga.com. Hope I'll be able to join the school and finally start practicing again.

You are listening to "Yellow" by Cold Play. I will change the song every week or so.

On a technical note, the date you see at the top of this entry is automatically generated by the server time. Since the server time is CST, I added 1 to hour to make it EST. But the thing is, if I post at Thursday at 12:30 AM, will the server time be Wednesday at 12:30AM? This is the issue. If you have a solution, AIM me at ngstylez for a reward. :)

What a rainy day. It didn't rain all day, but it's been drizzling for the better part of the day. Didn't go exercise at the park today. Is it because of the rain or is it because I'm lazy and didn't want to get out of bed? You decide!

I try not to talk about work much on this journal, because who wants to read about me whining and bitchin' about work? All I have to say is that work is stressful and difficult.

On another note, working on this page gives me relief for some reason. I've been working mostly on the administrative side of this page, so you all can't really see the development I've done (yet). I'm going to add a "Comments" feature on every post (like Xanga.com). So I hope to hear feedback from the few of you who visit this new page (which is a total of 2... me and myself?).

  Dude, I got a Dell
Tuesday, April 26, 2005    10:27 PM
My new computer arrived today!

But, I don't have Internet (yet), so it's pretty much a fast, sleek, big, dumb computer right now. I got a free Dell printer too, but I didn't get the cables for it nor did I get any ink cartridges. So that's like a car without any gas or road to drive on type of printer. Never the less! 3GHz Pentium 4, 800MHz FSB, 2GB RAM, 160GB HD!!! Wow!

This is a dramatic upgrade from my old computer (10+ years), which is a 200MHz Pentium, upgraded 96MB RAM, >4GB HD , IBM Aptiva S78. The Aptiva S78 is a great computer though. It was top of the line when we bought it. What a great machine (except the monitor which died out like in 4 years), I will truely miss it.
